Abstract, Objectives and Added Value:
To develop a set of generic standards using international best practice to assess indoor air quality from potential exposure to commonly occurring volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

South Africa does not have guidance on vapour intrusion and this is the most relevant exposure pathway at most commercial and industrial sites, where VOC contamination has occurred.

SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

Literature review of existing methodology and guidance.	3 Months	To align with international best practice. Summary document or white paper.
Defining VOC list, developing toxicity, exposure and other input parameters and assumptions.	2 Months	Providing values to be adopted into models.
Developing model and generating guideline values.	3 Months	Draft table of guidelines for commonly occurring VOCs.
Compiling guidance document with guidelines.	2 Months	Guideline document.
